The Shape of Things

It seems that no matter who you talk to 2012 is shaping up to be an interesting year. The December phenomenon of recapping the retiring year and making resolute prognostications for the anni maturitate 2012 has begun to creep into the Facebook threads, as giving up smoking and weight loss resolutions are intermingled with others wishing good riddance to bad rubbish for 2011. Since the Western economies began their dissolute slide into chaos a couple of years ago the bibles ‘n guns fundamentalist pulpit pounders have been preaching dire warnings of the coming apocalypse; but is the world really going to end with the Mayan calendar?

It turns out that we may have a way to find out- if you believe the data. The Shape of Things to Come from Half Past Human is a regular report that uses the language that is used on the internet to make forecasts of future trends and events. The report is compiled using radical linguistics and has the rather confronting technical name of Asymmetric Language Trend Analysis (ALTA) that employs some very interesting techniques to interpret what we are all saying online. ALTA is the brainchild of Clif High and George Ure, who call themselves the Time Monks, and it had its beginnings in 1983, coming online over a decade later. Since that the program has been greatly expanded and the (lunar) monthly reports are used by everyone from marketers, researchers and investment speculators to the crowds of tin foil hat wearers waiting for the spaceships to come.

The ALTA reports are drawn up by a much evolved linguistic analysis of the language used in the dynamic postings on the internet in order to calculate the rate of change in the language being used. Essentially ALTA sends out spider bots to read as many non-static pages, looking for new pages as well as updating old ones to mark the changes. The data that is compared against a database containing 300,000 words (the average High School graduate is said to use around 6,000 words regularly, and if they are bright are said to have a workable vocabulary of 10,000 of the estimated half a million (mostly stolen) words in the English lexicon) and the individual words are given a numerical value to indicate the emotional stress that has been placed on the words. These ‘Emotional Tension Values’ determine whether the emotions are in a building tension state or in a releasing tension state. Using these methods Clif High and Half Past Human have made some remarkably precise forecasts of events like plane crashes, the Indian Ocean Earthquake, Hurricane Katrina and even Dick Cheney’s hunting accident.

So what does the report say about 2012?

Reading the report is a complicated business in itself and the jargon of ALTA takes some getting your head around before it begins to become coherent. Given those difficulties I found that the report that forecasts 2012 made seven distinct predictions. While some of the predictions don’t need a crystal ball or a super computer to see coming, many of the prognostications are very specific.

1. The turning point for the world is indicated for March 2012. According to High’s comments, the general language being used has been building tension and that energy will turn to release mode in March 2012. Many of the other predictions point to March as being pivotal in their development that it is a common theme of the report.

2. The second class of prognostication is that the global banking cartel will fail as currencies around the world crash due to hyperinflation and markets that are flooded with digi-dollars. Investors will be trapped by their e-investments and the Church is somehow implicated in these underhanded and predatory financial machinations. The corporate machine, and perhaps the Church, will be hurt by important retirements and a string of scandals and attacks on the entrenched elite will see their wealth being drawn on to defend their position. This in turn will be interpreted as just more antagonistic behavior by the elite and will attract further ire from the little people.
The report indicates that there will be a mass embargo on corporations that are connected to the Church as the blame for the GFC widens and the grassroots anti-corporate movements like OWS gain more momentum and support. By March 2012 worldwide hyperinflation will be impossible to deny and become the ‘hot topic’ in the MSM. ALTA indicates that the whole illusion will come undone in one day, sometime in March.

3. The decline in confidence in our leadership will continue in 2012 which is shaping up as the year when we will finally lose faith in them entirely. This is likely to come about because of the influence that 4 has.

4. 2012 is set to be a big year for revealing secrets. One specific prediction by ALTA says that a politician or other official will make some inappropriate comments about debt and foreclosures while drunk which will be a temporal marker of the slide that is set to come. There is also a forecast that, through an open microphone incident, some very big or classified secrets will slip out and, after the people get hold of them, produce an avalanche of incriminating evidence of things that TPTB aren’t telling us. 2012 is also notable for whistleblowers bringing down the high and mighty in the corporate, political and clerical worlds.
There is a strong indication in ALTA that there will be incarcerations and other litigation taken against the corporations that have lost the money and of the civil servants that have abetted them in doing it. Along with this there will be a fresh wave of bribery and corruption claims as the established order and its entrenched elite lose their grip on power. ALTA implies that the old world order is set to come down like a house of cards.

5. The entrenched elite are about to become desperate to begin a new war, indicated as a ‘total war’ by ALTA, by March 2012, another forecast that marks March as a crucial point in time. This war will be based on inflamed religious passions with many false flags being played and associated destruction of assets. The situation will become more stressed when it is discovered that the entrenched elite want the war to cover up a ($16 trillion) theft from the global banks. The new war (written NU in the reports, a sign of the grammatical times too) will go through the usual periods, now familiar to us all, of ramping up, brinkmanship and last minute diplomacy that make up the television drama of war. An interesting note in the ALTA report indicates that as we approach war the MSM uniform will start to use more formal blazers to dress the talking heads. All of this will be mildly offset by the willful disruption of the war machine by members of the ‘global social evolution’ movements like OWS.

6. ALTA indicates that although the entrenched elite have been under siege in 2012 it will develop into fear of the loss of control over the herd that is already happening. The important detail seems to be that this fear leaks out to the minions and leads to a barrage of sell outs and whistles being blown. To counter this, the entrenched and soon to be embattled elite employ anti-spies to use against the people. This, in confluence with an ‘Enemy of the Government’ act that is passed by governments leads to the arrests of many anti-new-world-order protesters and mass incarcerations that are shocking to everyone except to most heavily indoctrinated sheeple. There are indications of prison camps with rioting that leads to further insurrection and attacks on government offices that find previously secret or hidden information.

7. Perhaps the most worrying predictions are about radiation in 2012. After a fatal delay Japan will finally order evacuations from the areas affected by the Fukoshima melt down and the previously concealed proof of the extent of the damage will come to the surface. There are predicted to be three waves of incidents and ALTA hints darkly at those responsible being assassinated by people whose lives have been destroyed by the mishandling and concealed truths. This will hype up the already simmering calls for a proper response to radioactive incidents and lead to a new group of people referred to as Radiation Refugees.
Further, radiation is linked to the weather, to wind and rain, and exposure during air travel is set to be a hot topic as a wave of radiation, or radiation scandals, descend upon the world. There is a strong indication that solar radiation or radiation from space may somehow be involved too, but that is pulling a long bow in my interpretation.

All up 2012 is set to be a pivotal year and there is an indication that there will be something that is revealed that will be earth shattering, cause a pandemic of shock and which will challenge human perception to the point that it will shake the foundations of our reason. There is a general prediction of planetary crises as the Anglo-American Empire becomes unglued and isn’t reassembled again. There is a prediction of the rise of the Ubermensch as Alpha-Male leadership is looked to for guidance as Western society moves from a phase of acquisition into one of exploration.

One striking oracle from the Time Monks that has stood out to me in the ALTA report is the sudden emergence of a blonde woman that is somehow central to the tipping point, and who is seen as some sort of savior and who quickly becomes a MSM icon. ALTA uses this blonde as a temporal marker that those forward looking souls among us can see as a guidepost to the onset of the Armageddon and who will be a footnote in the history books if the nukes don’t go off and the sun continues to rise in the East. In the mean time I am off to make a tin foil hat and sit under my pyramid to await the arrival of the space men.
